We were introduced to Gables Delight jam one sunny, winter day at the Coral Gables Farmer's Market. We tasted flavors you'd never dream of-- wine, guava habanero, strawberry jasmine-- and just had to meet the maker. Originally from Madrid, Almudena spent formative years in France where her mother taught her to preserve summer's fruits as jams.
Almudena still makes her jams in an artisan fashion -- in a copper pot, small batches, without preservatives, and with a small team. And she often uses what's in season locally, releasing different Gables Delight flavors throughout the year.
